This course goes above and beyond the requirements for renewing your Colorado Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP), as outlined in CRS 18-12-202.5. It’ll cover any recent changes to both federal and state firearm laws from the past five years.
You’ll also need to complete a live fire exercise, shooting at least 50 rounds, and score at least 70% to pass. Additionally, there’s a written Concealed Handgun Competency Exam, which requires an 80% score to pass.
The course itself is 2 hours, and it takes place at the range.

This course is designed for those new to shooting or for those who wish to gain a fundamental understanding of handgun operation and safety. Students will learn how to safely handle a handgun, proper loading and unloading technique, and how to shoot a pistol. This is a 3hr course.

This class meets all the training requirements for
Colorado Concealed Handgun Permit. (C.R.S 18-12-203)
Level I is designed to jump start your learning, covering the laws in the Revised Statues of Colorado, handgun safety, fundamentals of pistol shooting, marksmanship, handgun carry options, care and selection of a concealable firearm. (8 hr Class)

Your Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) is valid for 5 years from the date of issue. In order to renew your permit, you must take a 2hr refresher course that includes a written test and a live fire qualification.
